6th JUNIOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

14. October 2008, 02:38

6th Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) was held in Lemesos, Cyprus. For a second year in a row Croatia did not take part in this growing Contest.

On Saturday, November 22, 2008, the sixth Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in the sunny Cyprus, in the town of Lemesos (in The Spyros Kyprianou Arena).

15 young representatives from 15 European countries have competed in front of a huge auditorium.

Music guest of the 2008 JESC was Dima Bilan, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. But his mission was greater than just singing - he was giving his best advice to all of the contestants before they reached the stage!

THE HOSTS

Sophia's career in the TV industry began in the UK. Some of this time was spent working for British SKY. She has over one thousand hours of live presenting under her belt. She interviewed Richard Gere, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie etc.

Alex was born in London, but lives in Cyprus since he was 6. He is a famous TV presenter, but well known as dancer and model too. His life gave him a chance to try dealing with movies, theatre and TV.

Televoters and juries from 15 countries all over Europe have decided: Georgia won this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest! Congratulations!!

After a wonderful show held in Lemesos, Cyprus, Georgia's Bzikibi won with their song Bzz...! They got a total of 154 points, 19 points ahead of Ukraine's young star Victoria Petryk! Lithuania's Eglė Jurgaitytė got the third place with 103 points.

The winner video as well as all other videos are here.
