RMI 2009 | Great Eurovision party weekend!

For the third time in a row The Amfora Hotel in Rabac has been the venue of the Rock Me International - annual party by Eurofest Croatia, the Croatian OGAE club. This three-day-event gathered everyone eager to have great Eurovision music weekend!
All our guests are well used to the music desserts we prepare - Ivo Gamulin Gianni, singer whose activities are well connected to DORA (Croatian preselection for ESC), was a Friday night music guest of our party. He is better known for being the Croatian representative to the 2009 OGAE Second Chance Contest. „Daj mi jedan razlog" (Give me one reason), „Idi" (Go away!) and „Time to say goodbye" were the songs that Gianni performed and earned a big applause.
- After becoming part of this showbiz musical world you simply forget the great atmosphere and feeling that these little events/parties bring to you. I am therefore very happy to be here tonight! This is actually a great place for me to announce that something great will happen to me in November - Ana Oxa, the great Italian music star, and myself are having a big concert in Zagreb. I invite you all to be there! It's gonna be a spectacular event!
And than, we have partied till the late hours!
Some of the party participants decided to go for a trip outside Rabac on Saturday. Eurofest Croatia offered a trip to one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia - Brijuni. They have had great time there. Other part of the crew had also great time playing Eurovision Quiz and selecting of the best song in two categories, The Best Second Place on ESC and The best ESC ballad.

The craziest and funniest segment of the weekend is Saturday night! Kitch Party was a code name that suggested a dress code (to be honest only few people were kitch-dressed).
Remember the music desserts we mentioned on the beginning? Well, the secret music guest star for the Saturday evening has really been a secret till the last moment! Franka Batelic, the winner of the OGAE Song Contest 2008 has thrilled the audience by performing Ruza u kamenu (Rose in the stone), the winning song of the OGAE SC 2008 and Mozda volim te (Maybe I love you), the Croatian entry to the OGAE Song Contest 2009.
- You've no idea how great it is to be here! If it wasn't for you who have selected me - I couldn't win the Contest! I am also glad to know that you are having great time in Rabac, ‘cause you know, I live here... just near the hotel!
Saturday's programme moved on with Bana-Bana - a traditional parody on Eurovision Song Contest performances - it made us laugh all the time... But as in every competition - there is only one winner. Mojca Cvetko (OGAE Slovenia) won the Contest performing song Mamo (Russia 2009). The best outfit award went to funny trio - Dejan Primoz Gradisnik, Mojca Cvetko and Bojana Kosmrlj performing Flying the Flag (UK 2007).
And than - party till 4 a.m. Congratulations to those who managed to party all night long!
